Data Collection

Data was collected through an online Qualtrics survey (~25 minutes), administered via a personalized link sent by text or email, through a study device during in-person outreach, or on the participant's own device. A paper backup was available if needed.

Participants were first screened through a 7-question Qualtrics screener that asked about age, location, gender identity, sexual orientation, HIV status, PrEP use, and sexual activity in the past 6 months.

Recruitment

Recruitment was conducted through social media (Instagram), community event outreach, and flyer distribution.

Data Collection

Interviews could be held on Zoom (video/audio recorded, audio-only file retained for transcription), by phone, or in person, and explored the same topics as the survey.

Recruitment

Recruitment relied on email outreach, the City of Long Beach HIV Planning Group (HPG) network, and in-person visits to health clinics.
